June 15, 2022 – The NC State Board of Elections (NCSBE) has opened a public comment period in response to a Request for Declaratory Ruling proposed by the NC Republican Party.
Public speakers at the hearings last month asked over and over for hearings after maps were released. The committee has now scheduled four hearings to take place next Monday and Tuesday, in person and virtually.
Let the legislature hear your voice on reform now! The legislature is drawing new Congressional maps for 2020 right now and they need to hear from us! The legislature is taking one more shot at drawing constitutional Congressional districts this decade. We expect them to vote a new map out of committee in the next few days.
