The Policing Practices Working Group of LWVNC recently conducted a five-part virtual program examining the interaction of communities with law enforcement called “Our Community, Our Police.”
Raleigh, NC, July 18, 2020 – The nation has lost a tremendous civil rights leader with the passing of Congressman John Lewis. He was truly an iconic visionary who worked tirelessly for civil rights in our nation.
Where did the year go? It’s hard to believe that we have finished a year since our convention. What a year it has been! It’s amazing when you have served in this capacity before how things have changed between the years.
