What We Do

Among our many activities, LWVODC provides voter resources and has volunteer action teams focused on fair elections and redistricting, public education, reproductive healthcare, and voter services (for example, see vote411.org, which is made possible by the LWV Education Fund). We are involved in a number of issues and programs to support democracy and voter rights.

Registration Repairs Needed for NC Voters Ahead of 2026 Election

State Board of Election's registration repair project continues. Please check your registration at Vote411.org and encourage others to do so. Anyone whose name is on the registration repair list should follow the instructions How do I Repair My Registration? on this page to provide their NC driver’s license/DMV ID number or the last four digits of their Social Security number. A repaired registration will ensure they can vote a regular ballot rather than a provisional ballot.

Action Alert - LWVUS Congress

Action Alerts

Communities across the country have lived in terror as federal immigration enforcement agents have patrolled, surveilled, detained, disappeared, injured, and killed civilians, as well as denied people’s constitutional rights by attacking and arresting peaceful protestors. Yet Congress — our elected officials — has played a pivotal role in funding and enabling this government-manufactured crisis, and they must act to stop these attacks.

Speak up now.
