July 17, 5:30 - 7:30 pm: Make Good Trouble - Day of Action.

Coined by civil rights leader Congressman John Lewis, "Good Trouble" is the action of coming together to take peaceful, non-violent action to challenge injustice and create meaningful change. On July 17, five years since the passing of Congressman John Lewis, communities across the country will take to the streets, courthouses, and community spaces to carry forward his fight for justice, voting rights, and dignity for all.

On May 20, 2025, Bucks County voters will have the opportunity to participate in the Municipal Primary to select party candidates for various local and county offices. Municipal elections do matter! In many ways, the county and local offices on municipal ballots can have a greater impact on the quality of life for our families and communities, especially in such areas as education, public safety, infrastructure, and local services.

A significant number of anti-voter lawsuits were filed that sought to disrupt election administration and purge eligible voters from the rolls around the 2024 federal election. The League of Women Voters of the United States (“LWVUS”) monitored these eleventh-hour anti-voter lawsuits, including the substantial amount of voter purge lawsuits.

Beginning with the Suffrage Movement, women in Bucks County have worked to have a voice in the civic sphere. And two local organizations have made a significant impact in amplifying women’s voices in our community: the League of Women Voters and the Women’s Political Network of Pennsylvania.
