SC Senate and House 2021 Redistricting meetings have begun. These first meetings will occur before the release of census data. Those testifying are expected to speak especially on communities of interest that are of concern to them and on the criteria to be used for drawing the districts.

Make your voice heard - in person, by Zoom, or in writing. Let them know #WeAreWatching.

The SC Senate 2021 Redistricting Subcommittee will hold statewide public hearings, July 27 - Aug. 12.  We need voices like yours  —in person, on Zoom, or in writing. Let your legislators know what map criteria mean most to you.

Since the 1787 convention that developed the framework for the U.S. Constitution, there has never been a convention called by the states. The current campaign is funded by wealthy special interests who want to rein in the federal government and its spending. Even if one thinks that is a worthy objective, the rules for a constitutional convention are determined by its attendees. Anything can be on the agenda, and the threat of a runaway convention would be real.
