WASHINGTON - The League of Women Voters is proud to announce Juliette Boberg as director of corporate and organizational partnerships. Juliette joins the League’s growing external affairs team and will build strategic partnerships with businesses and organizations that share the organization's goals.

At the Voter Registration Day event on Sept. 19, members of the Shockers Vote Coalition and the League of Women Voters teamed up to inform students on how to get registered to vote in the Wichita area.

Gov. Ned Lamont said Wednesday that the State Bond Commission will vote next month to spend $25 million on new voting machines that are expected to be in place by the presidential election next year. Following Wednesday's announcement, Ann Reed, vice president for advocacy at the League of Women Voters, said the group was "thrilled" that the state would be getting new voting machines. "Old voting machines can sabotage an election, and we want to maintain Connecticut's dominance in pushing voting for everyone and making it safe and secure," she said.

During the 2022 Supreme Court term, the League of Women Voters filed amicus briefs in four cases: Moore v. Harper, Allen v. Milligan, Students for Fair Admissions v. Harvard, and 303 Creative, LLC v. Elenis.
