June 2, 2020 - Presidential Primary Election.  To vote in-person, go to any open polling place. You are able to vote an absentee ballot (pdf) for the Presidential Primary election due to the coronavirus mandates or request an absentee ballot from VOTE411. If you have not yet registered to vote click here, it takes only a few minutes.

Registration deadlines are:

    • By mail: Saturday, May 9, 2020
    • In-person: Saturday, May 9, 2020
    • Online: Saturday, May 9, 2020 

June 16, 2020 - School Board Elections. Contested races exist and elections will be held in New Castle County (Appoqunimink, Brandywine, Christina, and Red Clay Consolidated school districts), Kent County (Caesar Rodney, Capital and Milford school districts) and Sussex (Laurel and Woodbridge school districts, as well as nominating district 4 of the Indian River school district).

Polls open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. For the location, go to any open polling place within the school district." Any citizen residing in the district can vote for the school board; no previous voter registration is required. VOTE411 coverage of the Delaware school board candidates will go live on April 6, 2020.

School Board elections will take place on June 16. Quarantine or social distancing will be considered valid reasons for absentee voting, and all voters are encouraged to request an absentee ballot today.
