Sussex LWV Candidate Forums Are In Full Swing

Our lineup of candidate forums for the November general election began on 9/24 with the candidates for County Council District 5, and continue with Council District 4 candidate on 9/29. A total of seven forums is planned, including Representative Districts 4, 14, 20, 38, and 41. All forums take place from 7 - 8:30 pm. Voters can submit questions online, attend live events, view livestreams on our YouTube channel (www.youtube.com/@leagueofwomenvoterssussex2638), or watch the recorded sessions up till election day. Representative District 14 candidates will meet via Zoom on 10/22. The schedule and links to questionnaires, livestreams, and recordings are listed below.

Volunteers from Sussex County LWV are doing the hard work of planning, organizing, and staffing these events.

“We’re urging people to look down the ballot,” said Candidate Forum Chair Lisa Welle Malone. “The candidates elected to these positions will be making decisions that directly affect our everyday lives.”

For most forums, questions can be submitted online up to 2 days prior to the forums and in-person on the day of the forum. The public is encouraged to write their questions in advance of attending the in-person forums.See links below to submit questions in advance.
