Sussex LWV Candidate Forums Have Concluded
Our lineup of candidate forums for the November general election began on 9/24 and ended on 10/22. Candidates for County Council Districts 5 and 4 as well as State Representative Districts 4, 14, 20, and 38 participated. All forums included questions submitted by constituents. Hundreds of attendees joined the forums and watched via livestream. We also held our first virtual forum!
The recorded sessions will be available up until election day on our YouTube channel (www.youtube.com/@leagueofwomenvoterssussex2638)
Dozens of volunteers from Sussex County LWV, led by Candidate Forum Chair Lisa Welle Malone, spent months planning, organizing, and staffing these events and the hard work showed in the quality of the programs and the candidate and attendee feedback received.
Conducting these forums helps fulfill our mission of empowering voters, as Lisa explains, “The candidates elected to these positions will be making decisions that directly affect our everyday lives.”
