Update 3/17/2020 - The Advocacy Training meeting scheduled for 3/17/2020 has been postponed due to social interaction issues.
Advocacy is an activity by an individual or group that aims to influence decisions within political, economic, and social systems and institutions. Advocacy includes activities and publications to influence public policy, laws and budgets by using facts, their relationships, the media, and messaging to educate government officials and the public.
The advocacy training takes place on March 17 to be followed by an Advocacy Day on April 9 from 11 am to 2 pm at Legislative Hall in Dover, to address “data-driven legislation and reform that improves the lives of Black and Hispanic people in the state of Delaware,” in the words of Urban League staff.
This link will take you to the registration for the Advocacy 101 Training happening on Tuesday, March 17th at 6pm at the Wilmington Campus of Delaware State University.
Your participation is encouraged.
