Townsend, DE residents had an election on Saturday, May 1, 2021 to elect three town council members. Unofficial winners posted on 5/2/2021 are Gerald Dove, Eschalla Carke, and Joshua Mertz.
Please join us on April 29th at 11am for a day of action for redistricting. We will start the day with two amazing speakers. Alerks Kajstura is the legal director at the prison policy initiative and Yurij Rudensky, is the redistricting counsel at the Brennan Centers democracy program. Our speakers will be here to answer questions until 12:30pm.
Update 4/2/21: this election has been canceled. Challenger Cassandra Abel has withrawn from the Smyrna Mayoral race, and Mayor Robert C. Johnson will automatically re-assume his seat.
