LWVNCC Committees

Voter Services

The LWVNCC Voter Services committee includes Patti Christopher, Ann Lopez, Tiffany Lydon and Letty Diswood, with Patti serving as our Voter Registration coordinator. Please see our Voter Services Request form if you'd like to request an LWV information table at your New Castle County location or event.

Also in the area of voter service, Joyce Ford and Martha Gessler serve as NCC Candidate Forum co-chairs, and Jill Itzkowitz leads the VOTE411 online voter guide project statewide.

Fundraising

Lorraine Botticelli chairs the LWVNCC Fundraising committee, and she is always looking for able and enthusiastic volunteers to join in this task. Funding allows the League to do its important work in the community.

Scholarship

Carol Holt and Chuck Gebhart co-chaired this committee, established in 2023 to create a student scholarship in honor of longtime League member and advocate Joann Hasse, who died early that year.

Land Use and Transportation

The LWVNCC Land Use/Transportation committee is chaired by Anna Quisel. This committee covers both local (NCC) and statewide concerns.

This committee keeps a watchful eye on development issues in our county, and transportation policy and open space preservation across the state. Based on a statewide study conducted by the committee, it has an ongoing commitment to advocate for improved public transit and neighborhoods characterized by walkability and bike-ability, a strong sense of place, mixed use with a broad range of housing choices, connectivity, compactness, and environmental integrity. The committee also has a particular interest in transportation and land use solutions which reduce the carbon footprint.
