The League of Women Voters of Wheaton is one of over 40 local Leagues taking part in the update of the League of Women Voters of Illinois' 25-year-old Criminal Justice position.  Updating a League position is quite an undertaking which involves coming to consensus on questions which will eventually become position statements. League uses its positions in its advocacy work. Without an up to date position, we cannot support or oppose legislation as an organization. Learn more about the state League's study. (Note: only League members can participate in consensus meetings which will lead to the updated position. If the issue of Criminal Justice interests you, please join your local League.)**
