Cantigny Park and the League of Women Voters of WheatonGlen EllynCentral Kane County, Naperville, and Roselle/Bloomingdale continue their Civic Awareness Series on Thursday, Nov. 16, at 7 pm.  DuPage County State's Attorney Bob Berlin has agreed to be our November 16th CAS speaker.  He will have statistics on crime trends in the county, discuss all of the County's restorative justice programs and illustrate the changes to the SAFE-T Act made by the General Assembly pursuant to recommendations made by the working group which included Bob and two other State's Attorneys.  

Meet the Speaker: 

Bob Berlin

Bob Berlin has been a prosecutor for 36 years, beginning his career in 1987 as an Assistant State’s Attorney in Cook County. In 2004, he joined the DuPage County State’s Attorney’s Office as Deputy Chief of the Office’s Juvenile Division. He was appointed DuPage County State’s Attorney in December 2010 and was elected to full four-year terms in 2012, 2016 and 2020. Berlin was awarded the Illinois State Crime Commission’s State’s Attorney of the Year Award in 2013, and in 2020, the Illinois Chiefs of Police Association named him Public Official of the Year. He is a frequent lecturer on a variety of criminal justice issues and has testified before the Illinois Senate Criminal Law Committee and Illinois House Judiciary Committee on numerous criminal justice bills.

The program is offered as a hybrid. You will need to register for both in-person and zoom. To register in person, you will need to make a login account on the Cantigny site.  You will use this account for all Civic Awareness tickets in the future.
