The League of Women Voters, a nonpartisan political organization, encourages informed and active participation in government, works to increase understanding of major public policy issues, and influences public policy through education and advocacy.

The League Lines newsletter is published nearly monthly throughout the year.  Each contains a summary of events and the President's report.  

(Note that Observer Corps is composed of League members who regularly attend local civic board meetings and report back on their activities).

The positions below define the core local issues of the League of Women Voters of the Columbia Area (LWVCA). We spend most of our time taking action to address these issues. The positions guide us in advocating, educating, and acting at the local level, but they do not limit us.
