Thursday, January 1, 2026: HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Monday, January 5: LWVSC Legislative Update (members only) from 5 – 6 pm via Zoom. You will hear the latest State House news from LWVSC lobbyists Lynn Teague, Janelle Rivers, and Teresa Arnold.

Monday, January 5: City of Clemson Council meeting held at Council Chambers, Clemson City Hall, 1250 Tiger Blvd #1, Clemson, SC 29631 at 6:30 pm unless otherwise noted. The 2026 calendar. 

Tuesday, January 6: Oconee County Council Meeting in the County Council Chambers located at 415 South Pine Street, Walhalla, SC at 6 pm. Here are links to the Calendar, agenda and minutes and videos of past county council meetings.

Wednesday, January 7: LWVOP BOARD MEETING by Zoom at 4:30 pm. All members are invited to observe the meeting. Contact Pat Spurlock for the Zoom link.
Thursday, January 8: Community Advocates For Education (CAFE)-Pickens Special-Called Meeting. A special-called meeting is scheduled for January 8, 2026 at 6 pm and will be held at the Central-Clemson Library located at 105 Commons Way, Central, SC. Because this is a special-called meeting, public comments will not be taken during this session. Here’s what this meeting will focus on: Nomination and election of Library Board officers and selection of committee assignments.
 
Monday, January 12: Pickens City Council meeting in City Hall, 219 Pendleton St, Pickens, SC 29671 at 6 pm. Find the Schedule of Meetings, City Council Minutes, Agendas, and Livestream Recordings here (scroll to the bottom of the page). 

Monday, January 12: Oconee County School Board Meeting* at the District Office at 6 pm. If you cannot attend, there is a livestream option. Also, you may find the 2026 agendas and minutes from past meetings here.
 

Tuesday, January 12: City of Clemson Council meeting held at Council Chambers, Clemson City Hall, 1250 Tiger Blvd # 1, Clemson, SC 29631 at 6:30 pm unless otherwise noted. The 2026 calendar. 

Tuesday, January 13: LWVOP Discussion group to be held at 2 Birch Place, Clemson, SC. Members and their guests welcome. Video presentation by Celina Stuart, CEO of LWVUS about 2026 midterm elections will be viewed and discussed. 

Thursday, January 15: Pickens County Library System Board of Trustees meeting at 6 pm at the Hampton Memorial Library, 304 Biltmore Rd, Easley, SC 29640. Calendar Year 2026 meetings and locations; agenda and minutes. List of book titles that have been challenged.

Tuesday, January 20: LWVOP General Meeting for members only via Zoom to discuss "Program Planning Primer: The Whys and How Tos of Local and National Programming."

Saturday, January 31: LWVOP Monthly Program Meeting - "Local and National Programming" from 10 am - Noon to be held at the Clemson United Methodist Church, 300 Frontage Road, Clemson. Beverages and breakfast treats will be provided.
