APRIL

Tuesday, April 1: Judicial Reform Consensus Meeting, 4 p.m., Blue Ridge Community Center in Seneca. In the light of current challenges to the rule of law, this is a very timely consensus.

View consensus questions and a series of nine very short papers explaining some of the issues on the LWVOP homepage. Thursday April 3: Walhalla City Council Candidate Forum, 6:30-8 pm, Walhalla Middle School, 151 Razorback Lane, Walhalla. LWVOP will sponsor a Candidates Forum for the special election on April 22 to fill two vacant Walhalla City Council seats. Five Walhalla residents are vying for the seats. Find more information here.

Monday, April 7: League of Women Voters of South Carolina Legislative Update by Zoom at 5pm for League Members only. To attend, you must register by April 7 through the email you received. Energy regulation, income taxes, DEI, and Medicaid concerns are issues that will be discussed..

Monday, April 7: City of Clemson Council meeting held at Council Chambers, Clemson City Hall, 1250 Tiger Blvd # 1, Clemson, SC 29631 at 6:30 pm unless otherwise noted. The 2025 calendar is here.

Thursday, April 10: Oconee Board of Elections & Voter Registration, Regular Board Meeting at 415 South Pine St. Walhalla SC in Council Chambers at 10 am unless posted otherwise.

Monday, April 14Oconee County School Board Meeting* at the District Office at 6 pm. If you cannot attend, there is a livestream option. Also, you may find the 2025 agendas and minutes from past meetings here.

Tuesday, April 15: LWVOP monthly program meeting at 4 pm at the Clemson United Methodist Church, 300 Frontage Rd, Clemson, SC 29631. This month, Professor Darren Linvill, will be speaking about How to Run a Troll Farm: The Evolution of Disinformation. More information can be found HERE.
