December

Monday, December 1: Pickens County Council Meeting in the Council Auditorium at the Administration Facility, 222 McDaniel Ave., Pickens, SC 29671 at 6:30 pm. Here are links to their 2025 Council Meeting Calendar, Pickens County Calendar, and to the agenda and minutes and videos.

Monday, December 1: City of Clemson Council meeting held at Council Chambers, Clemson City Hall, 1250 Tiger Blvd # 1, Clemson, SC 29631 at 6:30 pm unless otherwise noted. The 2025 calendar is here. 

Tuesday, December 2: Oconee County Council Meeting in the County Council Chambers located at 415 South Pine Street, Walhalla, SC at 6 pm. Here are links to the Calendar, Agenda and Minutes and Videos of past county council meetings.

Wednesday, December 3: Pickens County Board of Voter Registration and Elections Regular Board meeting, 4:30 pm, at the Pickens County Administration Facility, 222 McDaniel Ave, B-9, Pickens, SC 29671. Calendar, meeting agendas and minutes are here. 

Wednesday, December 3: LWVOP BOARD MEETING by Zoom at 4:30 pm. All members are invited to observe the meeting. Contact Pat Spurlock for the Zoom link.
Monday, December 8: Pickens City Council meeting in City Hall, 219 Pendleton St, Pickens, SC 29671 at 6 pm. Find Schedule of Meetings, City Council Minutes, Agendas, and Livestream Recordings here. 
 
Monday, December 8: Oconee County School Board Meeting* at the District Office at 6 pm. If you cannot attend, there is a livestream option. Also, you may find the 2025 agendas and minutes from past meetings here.
 
Thursday, December 11: Community Advocates For Education (CAFE)-Pickens Special-Called Meetings: Two special-called meetings are scheduled for December 11, 2025 and January 8, 2026. Both meetings will be held at the Central-Clemson Library, 6:00 pm, located at 105 Commons Way, Central. Because these are special-called meetings, public comments will not be taken during these sessions.

Here’s what those meetings will focus on:

  • December 11: Appeal of the book Like a Love Story by Abdi Nazemian and a review of proposed updates to the Board’s by-laws. Click here to view entire list of challenged books

  • January 8: Nomination and election of Library Board officers and selection of committee assignments.
