Monday, April 6: LWVOP Monthly Program Meeting from 4 - 5:30 pm at the Clemson Central Library, 105 Commons Way, Central, SC 29630. Most people picture November when they think about elections. But the candidates who appear on that ballot are chosen months earlier in primary elections. When turnout is low, a small number of voters can shape decisions that affect schools, roads, health care, and local leadership. Panelists Neal Collins, South Carolina State House Representative and Lawson Wetli, Board Member, League of Women Voters of South Carolina, will discuss the importance of voting in the Primary Election. Free and open to the public Hosted by The League of Women Voters, a nonpartisan organization that does not support or oppose candidates or parties. |
