Last day to apply for an application to vote by a mail-in or an absentee ballot
The deadline is 5 pm for receipt of these requests. Postmarks do not count. Act 77, passed in October 2019, now allows no-excuse mail-in ballots in Pennsylvania. The provisions of the new Pennsylvania law have opened access to easier participation in elections of our government officials, which is especially important during these uncertain times. As a non-partisan organization that neither supports nor endorses candidates or political parties, LWV educates voters on issues and opportunities associated with getting citizens involved in our government.
The League of Women Voters encourages you to consider voting by mail for the June 2 Primary Election either by mail-in or absentee ballot. Adhering to "sheltering in place health orders," submitting your absentee or mail-in ballot application by mail, and voting by mail are safer than voting in person. If you're a voter with a valid PA Driver's License or PennDOT ID number, you may apply online for a mail-in or absentee ballot application.
If you do not have one of these ID numbers, you will need to download a paper application and mail it to your County Board of Elections.

PA General Primary Election - Polls are open 7 am - 8 pm
If you are voting by mail-in or absentee ballot, your completed ballot must be received by your county elections office by 8 pm on June 2. Postmarks do not count. Our League provides an on-line Voters Guide for Union County, and is now available here by going to Voters Guide Spring Primary 2020 in the menu. Those who live outside of Union County can find who will be on their ballot at Vote411.org.
