The League of Women Voters of the Lewisburg Area’s Educational Forum series will begin with a talk, “Young Americans Really Do Care About Politics: The Surprising Story of Youth Voter Turnout”, by Scott Meinke, Bucknell University Professor of Political Science. 
 
Professor Meinke’s research and teaching interest areas include US Congress and legislative politics, judicial politics and the American presidency.   Professor Meinke published a new book in 2023 with Cambridge University Press, The Origins and Consequences of Congressional Party Election Agendas, and continued his teaching of a range of courses on political institutions including senior seminars on political polarization and legislative research at Bucknell University.  Numerous undergraduate students assist with Professor Meinke’s research and he is a close collaborator with the LWVLA Mauch Project. 
 
An optional $15.50 buffet lunch will be served beginning at 11:30 am.  The program will begin at noon.  No reservation is needed for the in-person lunch.  
 
League members and the general public are welcome.
