If you're age 15–22 and want to help more young people become active voters, you're encouraged to apply for the League of Women Voters of South San Mateo County (LWVSSMC) Youth Council!
Youth Council Members will be full members of the League of Women Voters, involved in all
aspects of our work. However, we will rely on them to message our work in a way that appeals to people of their generation.
Youth Council opportunities include: participating in or leading civic engagement events, educating peers on voting, engaging in nonpartisan advocacy, gaining practical skills in community organizing, and more.
The council meets once a month from September to June (on Zoom) and supports in-person monthly League events.
Despite our name, we're not just for women! We welcome all genders.
