Join The Observer Corps

The Observer Corps is the League of Women Voters' civic accountability program, in which trained League members attend local and state government meetings — such as city councils, school boards, and planning commissions — to observe and document how public bodies conduct their business. Operating on a strictly nonpartisan basis, Observers do not advocate or participate; they simply listen, take notes, and produce written reports that help the League track government transparency, identify advocacy opportunities, and hold elected officials accountable to the public.

Showing up matters. By attending just one public meeting, you help ensure that government stays open, transparent, and accountable.

Training will be provided.
