Each election season our League organizes a series of “Pros and Cons” presentations on the upcoming state ballot propositions. The presentations are hosted by community organizations who request them, and occasionally by private individuals, and are given by trained League volunteers.
Material presented is carefully balanced between the “pro” arguments of the proponents and the “con” arguments of the opponents. Primary materials are carefully researched by the California League, and include a description of the current situation and the probable impact of the proposition if it passes. It generally includes a list of supporting and opposing individuals and organizations, and financial contributors to both sides.
