LWVDE Book and Discussion Group starting Dec 7

Dear Friends,

We are excited to offer a LWVDE on-line Book and Discussion Group and hope you will join us!

The purpose of this reading and discussion group is to take a deep dive into lived experiences, the value of proximity, diversity, equity and inclusion, and their importance to examining major issues that impact our nation, Delaware, and the legislation needed to meet individual and community needs.

Our first meeting will allow space for welcome and introduction to the thought process behind the formation and trajectory of the materials chosen, and will include a definition of terms, group touchstones, and booklist. In providing a foundation and platform for our dialogue, the first book we will be reading is a highly regarded edition of The Federalist Papers.

The book club will meet monthly on-line and the anticipated schedule of topic areas and booklist will unfold over 18 months (taking July and August as a summer hiatus).

Our introductory meeting will be held on Tuesday, December 7, 2021 from 7:00-8:00 p.m. Together we will then schedule our next meeting for January and the months forward.

If you have any questions, please contact either Denise Davis or Lori Yadin.

We hope you will join us and look forward to seeing you!
