Sussex LWV will have an information table at the September 6 IMPACT Festival in Bridgeville. We will distribute information about the League, Membership, and Voter Services, and also offer information about Voter Registration, Vote411, and upcoming events. We'll also offer to assist with voter registration if needed. Parking is available on site.

Six volunteers are needed - 3 for each of two shifts - 8:30 am to 12:00 pm OR 12:00 pm to 2 pm. Please contact Lyn Brown at 410-746-8276 if you're able to help. Remember to bring a chair, water, and wear your LWV paraphernalia (buttons, etc.). Please see our SignUp page for the details

Good Trouble Lives On Image

On July 17, the Southern Delaware Alliance for Racial Justice (SDARJ) hosted "Good Trouble Lives On" gathering to honor the memory of civil rights icon John Lewis. The event featured speakers from across the county, including Sussex LWV President Barb Hedges-Goettl. With temperatures in the high 90s, the event moved from Johnnie Walker Beach to the sanctuary at Epworth United Methodist Church, where the (air-conditioned!) hall was packed.
