LWVUS is joining national partners for Hands Off!, a mobilization in response to the current administration’s attacks on our democracy, basic rights, and overreach of power. LWV participants will focus on non-partisan issues that we care about:
Voting rights…Abortion…Feeding the Hungry…Caring for Veterans…National Security…
The disenfranchised…Medicare…Medicaid…The Rule of Law…Social Security...
Join LWVSCDE at the April 5th rally in Dover!
- Meet us Saturday, April 5 at 10:30 at Lewes Park-n-Ride to organize ourselves into carpools to attend the Dover rally (15 mins to organize ourselves, 45 mins to drive, 30 mins to park/walk to event running 12-2 PM. Lewes return after 3 p.m.). Sign the Carpool list to drive or find a ride, or use the registration button above.
- Even if you can't go to the rally, you can join us for Design-a-Sign on Friday, April 4 at 10 a.m. at Panera in Rehoboth. Materials will provided. Click here to save your seat!
If you can't make it to Dover, there is a local rally in Rehoboth (more info here). Information on all the rallies nationwide -- including Dover -- is available on the HandsOff! website.
If you plan to attend a rally, we recommend that you review the LWVUS Protest Safety Guidance, here. Hands Off! shares the LWV commitment to nonviolent action and keeping the event safe and welcoming. Find out more and register for training here.
Again, note that our participation will be non-partisan.
