gotvFocus: Get Out the Vote

Delaware ranks 5th for voters registered, and 20th when it comes to Delawareans casting their ballot.  2024 is an important election year with many offices in Delaware up for reelection.

Come to hear how you can help get out the vote at this year’s LWVDE Council 2024 meeting, which will be held via Zoom on Wednesday, May 22 from 6-8. Topics and speakers include:
      • Discussion of getting young people to vote with Vienna Cavazos from Generation Vote Sussex 
      • How to help the elderly and disabled vote if permanent absentee voting is repealed with Joann Kingsley from Delaware Legal Aid
      • Review of what other Leagues are doing to get out the vote
      • Listing of get out the vote events from Delaware’s local league members.
