The luncheon program will feature keynote speaker Zev Shapiro, recently graduated from Harvard, and founder and CEO of TurnUp.us a leading young voter civic engagement organization and platform.

In addition, we will be recognizing this year's scholarship winners, students in our Spring into Democracy initiative, and those receiving inaugural advocacy awards in education and community service. This year's scholarship winners include UD students Zion Brockington-Davis (Nursing, Middletown) and Sophie Douglas (Political Science, Bear), and high school seniors: Aziza Prince (Tatnall, New Castle) and Ruby Wall (Odessa HS, Odessa). The Advocacy in Community Service Award recipient is our own Patti Christopher, chair of Voter Services. The Advocacy in Education Award recipient this year is an organization: The Delaware Center for Civics Education (Institute for Public Administration within the Biden School at UD).

Our final award is the President’s Award, which President Richard Johnson is keeping secret. So, if you want to know, you need to be there ;)

We are using Zeffy to process credit card orders for JUNE 13TH luncheon tickets. There is no processing fee unless you opt to include it. You may order individual tickets at $40 each or a table of 8 for $320. You may also chose a separate donation to sponsor a luncheon ticket for a student.
