LWVNCC is planning back to back primary candidate forums for Delaware Representative Districts 8 & 9 to be held via Zoom Thursday August 27, 2026 between 6 and 9 pm. Co-sponsoring partner for these forums is the Alpha Alpha Tau Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.

Delaware House Representative District 8 encompasses the town of Middletown, Delaware.

Questions must be submitted by 8/25/2026 to be considered.

There are three candidates for State Representative in the RD 8 Democratic primary and two in the Republican primary. Demcratic candidates include Lissa Brutus, incumbent Sherae'a "Rae" Moore, and Matt Powell. Republican candidates are Watara T.F. Heath and Gary Taylor. This forum covers the Democratic Primary candidates only.

The forum will be recorded and the video will be posted in its entirety within 48 hours after the event on the LWVDE website (lwvdelaware.org), and will be available as well as on YouTube, Facebook, and partner communication channels.
