LWVNCC is planning back to back primary candidate forum for Delaware Representative Districts 8 & 9 to be held via Zoom Thursday August 27, 2026 between 6 and 9 pm. Co-sponsoring partner for this forum is the Alpha Alpha Tau Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.

Delaware House of Representatives District 9 is located in New Castle County, extending south from the C&D Canal along the Delaware River. It includes the areas of Odessa, Townsend, and Port Penn.

The primary candidates for State Representative in RD 9 are Ayanna Khan-Flowers, Gemma E. Lowery, and Michelle Wall. The incumbent Representative, Kevin Hensley, is not seeking re-election. The Republican candidate, Jamar Money, has no opponent in the primary election.

The forum will be recorded and the video will be posted in its entirety within 48 hours after the event on the LWVDE website (lwvdelaware.org), and will be available as well as on YouTube, Facebook, and partner communication channels.
