LWVNCC hosted primary candidate forums for Delaware Representative Districts 8 & 9 on Thursday August 27, 2026with co-sponsor Alpha Alpha Tau Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.

Delaware House of Representatives District 9 is located in New Castle County, extending south from the C&D Canal along the Delaware River. It includes the areas of Odessa, Townsend, and Port Penn.

Questions were taken at registration through 8/25/2026 .

The primary candidates for State Representative in RD 9 are Ayanna Khan-Flowers, Gemma E. Lowery, and Michelle Wall. The incumbent Representative, Kevin Hensley, is not seeking re-election. The Republican candidate, Jamar Money, has no opponent in the primary election.

The forum will be recorded and the video will be posted in its entirety within 48 hours after the event on the LWVDE website (lwvdelaware.org), and will be available as well as on YouTube, Facebook, and partner communication channels.
