LWVVC members celebrated local Black Heritage with a tour of the Mary S. Harrell Black Heritage Museum in New Smyrna Beach. Founded by local educator, Mary S. Harrell, the museum contains a rich and varied collection of photos, oral histories, and memorabilia that tells the story of the people of the historic West Side community. Many thanks to LWVVC member Ann Harrell and her husband Allen (brother-in law of the museum's founder) for their fascinating tour of the museum and adjacent Heritage House.
