A special election to fill the seat representing Florida's 6th Congressional District in the U.S. House will end on April 1, 2025. This special election fills the vacancy left by Michael Waltz (R), who now serves as national security advisor.

The League of Women Voters of Volusia County had a wonderful holiday party on Tuesday. Everyone enjoyed the delicious food and the engaging conversations. The entertainment was provided by our own Bonnie Friedman on piano! President Nicki Junkins reviewed our successes over the year including over 25 amendment presentations, and distributing 10,000 Voters Guides throughout the community.
