The League of Women Voters of Volusia County was honored to be a co-sponsor of two Volusia County Legislative Update sessions. These events were coordinated by Equal Ground with support from several community partners, including the NAACP, Concerned Clergy, Panhellenic Association, Volusia County African American Leadership Council and LWVVC. Equal Ground Director Genesis Robinson and Field Organizer Justin Jones provided an informative overview of major legislation considered during the 2025 session and the anticipated impact those bills will have on Floridians. Since the Legislature has not reached a decision on the budget and several bills await the Governor's signature, the League is unsure of the final outcome.
