The LWVVC held their first in- person general meeting since Covid began and the turnout was spectacular. The Topic: Growth in Volusia and its Cities. Expert panelists were:
Kerry Karl (Executive Director, VCARD), Glenn Storch (Storch Law Firm), Jessica Gow (Cobb Cole),
Chris Warshaw, PE (England-Thims & Miller, Inc.), Rachel Deming ( Assistant Professor of Law, Barry University). They discussed the complexities of growth today including land-use law, the benefits of and hurdles to low impact development, the engineering/planning aspect of water management, and the mechanics of land conservation.
