Rising Water - Concerns and Solutions

While many have hoped that putting moratoria on building in communities could stop the flooding, we will discover that it is just one factor in solving this complicated problem. The issues surrounding rising water levels is the subject of the April Hot Topic presentation. Our expert speakers include -

Dr. Jason Evans, professor at Stetson University, who will speak about the scientific/environmental aspects of flooding;

Storm Kazmierczak, the County Development Engineer/Assistant County Engineer of Volusia County, who will speak about the county-wide management of storm water;

Phyllis Wallace, Deputy Public Works Director, City of Deltona, who will speak about the unique flooding challenges that face Deltona.

If you would like, after the event, bring a bag lunch and feel free to enjoy the Lyonia Environmental Center next door.
