Do you walk or bicycle in our area?  Did you know that The Deltona-Daytona Beach-Ormond Beach Area, which covers Volusia and Flagler Counties, is consistently listed among the most dangerous areas in the nation for pedestrians? Based on a review of national data, it was recently ranked as the most dangerous US metropolitan area for walkers.

Stephan Harris will explain how The River to Sea Transportation has been working on changing this heartbreaking statistic and its commitment to improving safety for pedestrians, bicyclists, and motorists.  Mr. Harris was the River to Sea Transportation Planning Organization’s Bicycle & Pedestrian Coordinator from 2006 to April 2016 and is currently the Transportation Planner- Project Manager.

Following the presentation, which is open to the public, we hope you will join us for dinner at Red Lobster, 2625 W International Speedway Blvd, Daytona Beach, FL 32114
