The League of Women Voters of Volusia County in partnership with the NAACP and the Volusia County African Leadership Council (VCALC) is sponsoring a candidate forum for District 2 and District 4 seats. Just because you may not have a child enrolled in public schools today, don’t think that what happens in our public schools doesn’t affect you. It does! Volusia Schools are our biggest employer. The school system is an economic driver both in dollar volume and in attracting community investment. The public school system has changed dramatically since 2000 and the issues today are critical in forming the future for our state and our community.
