State of The County Address

Volusia County, FL
Tuesday, April 27, 2021 - 11:30am
State of the County address set for April 27

Volusia County Chair Jeff Brower and the entire County Council will take some time on Tuesday, April 27 to recognize the county’s accomplishments in the least year and reflect on goals for the future during the county’s annual State of the County address. Staged at the Ocean Center in Daytona Beach, the event is open to the public. However, seating for the luncheon event is extremely limited and reservations will be taken on a first-come, first served basis.

The event also will be live-streamed on the county’s website, www.volusia.org.

The county’s home-rule charter requires the county chair to report each year to the public on the county’s activities, goals and objectives. In addition to a report from Brower, the event also will include pre-recorded messages from the other six council members. Ordinarily, the State of the County address takes place in the Ocean Center’s ballroom. However, the attendance capacity has been reduced this year and the event has been moved to the larger exhibit hall to provide extra spacing. The doors will open at 11:30 a.m. and the two-hour event will start at noon.

Anyone wishing to reserve a seat should either call the County Manager’s Office at 386-736-5920 or send an email to cpizarro [at] volusia.org.
