Betty Bradshaw - Obituary

News
We are saddened to share that one of our long-time (50+ years) member Betty Jean Bradshaw passed away last weekend.

You may recall Betty was the recipient of the Marget Hamilton Award in 2014 and was featured on Facebook during Women’s History Month this year.

Member Liz Quigg shared her thoughts: “Betty was a gracious hostess for League members whether it was for the start of the finance drive, program meetings, holiday events or Great Decisions. Her civic activities extended to many different boards.”

Fellow member Martha Barmantje shared her thoughts, too: “Betty was a lovely person and so generous with her time and with sharing her beautiful home with the League…sometimes when she wasn’t even there! She ran the finance drive for years and her connections in the community were a huge asset. She also served on the nominating committee many times and would say, ‘If you take this job, I’ll be your best friend.’  Who could say no to that? She had lots of energy and a wonderful sense of humor. She will be missed by so many.”

Please read about the details of Betty’s services and her life at the link below. We invite you to share your memories of Betty. Thank you to Betty for her wonderful service to our communities.
