Get Involved: Volunteer in Our Communities

Volunteer Opportunities:

Welcome! Our members make a difference in our communities. We hold events at local libraries, high schools, senior centers, farmers markets and festivals talking about the League and our mission to defend democracy and empower voters. 

At our Community Events like National Night Out and summer outdoor markets, we talk about the League’s mission and the value of membership.  With an election this November, we’ll also register voters and answer questions about the elections. 

At our Get Out the Vote / Voter Registration Events, we’ll register new voters, update registrations, help with Vote By Mail signups and answer questions about the upcoming Election.  Members are welcome to volunteer at all of our events; however, you need to attend a training session if you wish to be a Deputy Registrar and register voters.

  • Saturday, Aug 8, 9am – 11:30am.  Come by the Wheaton Library to pick up a list of retailers and ask them to display our "Exercise Your Right to Vote" stickers and posters as part of our National Day of Action. Sign up: https://volunteersignup.org/THBKB
