Get Involved: Volunteer in Our Communities

Community Volunteer Opportunities:

Welcome! Our members make a difference in our communities. Check here to volunteer to register voters, to distribute voting information, to answer questions about voting, and to tell people about the League of Women Voters. We attend farmers markets, festivals, and local libraries and march in parades to defend democracy and empower voters. When you sign up to volunteer, you'll receive an email 2-3 days beforehand with additional event information.

Wheaton French Market. We'll have a booth at the Wheaton French Market again this summer on June 28, July 19, and August 16. Two shifts each Saturday: 8-11 am and 11 am-2 pm. Volunteers: no experience needed! We'll walk you through everything you need to know. You'll talk to people about the League--empowering voters, taking action, making a difference--why we joined, and how to get involved! Deputy Registrars are also needed. Wheaton Picnic with Pride. We'll be at Wheaton's Picnic with Pride event on Saturday, June 14, from 10:30 am - 2:00 pm. Deputy Registrars and members are needed to be at our table to register voters and share information about the League. This is our first time at this event! Please sign up to volunteer.

National Night Out. We’ll participate in National Night Out events across our communities on Tuesday, August 5, from 4:30-9 pm. National Night Out is a special back-to-school event sponsored by local police departments and supported by community organizations including park districts, libraries, and us! Volunteers: No experience needed! We’ll engage with children on their Civics knowledge and spread the word about the League to their parents. Volunteers will receive everything they need to know before the event including an email with details 2-3 days beforehand. Please sign up for the location(s) where you would be willing to volunteer.
