 IMPORTANT MEMBER NOTICE ABOUT RENEWALS:

As most of you are aware by now, effective February 1, the League’s dues payment process nationwide shifted from billing and collecting at the local level to the national level.   Now that we have a few months of the process under our belts, we wanted to update members about how the process is affecting our League.  While we have seen a small increase in the number of people joining each month, so far, the biggest effect we have seen is a significant decrease in member renewals. At this point, we are unsure if this is due to the change in billing, in the perceived difficulty of paying through the new Chapter Spot portal, or other factors.

We ask that members be alert to emails from LWVUS. Your renewal notice emails will come from this email address: membership [at] lwv.org.   Please add this address to your contacts so that your email spam filter doesn’t intercept these emails. Also, if you have renewed recently, please tell us about your experience by emailing Angie and Cheri at membership [at] lwvstl.org or calling the League office at (314) 961-6869.

No news to LWV members that democracy is under attack. We awaken every morning to an onslaught of calls to action which seem at times as though we are tilting at windmills.
