We are delighted to welcome Nancy Lohman back to our League to speak to us about the Women inStatuary Hall that will soon be joined by Mary McLeod Bethune.Our speaker will provide an overview of the nine women who were chosen to represent their respective home state in the U.S. Capitol National Statuary Hall State Collection. She will share their contributions and life achievements which led to their selection. Included in her presentation is the back story regarding the monument to the suffragettes. Then, learn of the next statues, all women, who will be replacing statues in the U.S. Capitol in the future.
