A very engaged audience gathered at the DeLand Library on March 12, 2024 to celebrate Women’s History Month. Members of our Speakers Bureau shared inspiring stories of the women selected to be honored: Rev. Dr. Pauli Murray, Patsy Takemoto Mink, Dr. Mary Edwards Walker, Celia Cruz and Zitkala-Sa. Presentations by Nancy Vaughn, Alicia Keenon, Richard Denton, Pat Drago and Nicki Junkins (pictured) brought these women to life. The speakers highlighted the many contributions the honorees have made, many of them well ahead of their time.
