On July 2, 2024, the LWVVC Voter Service Team partnered with the Gamma Mu Omega Chapter, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority to hold a postcard signing party at Bethune Cookman University. The postcard initiative, sponsored by the League of Women Voters provides information to previously incarcerated citizens who have returned to the community and wish to have their voting rights restored. As a result of this event, 300 individuals with felony convictions will learn how LWVFL can help them find out about the restoration of their voting rights.
