Meet the candidates in the NCC Council President Democratic Primary election:

Pre-registration for this event is not required. Doors open at 6 p.m. Please plan to arrive early so that the forum may begin promptly at 6:30. Questions for the candidates may be submitted onsite using index cards handed out at the door, up until the forum begins.

This forum is free and are open to the public. Following the program, there will be an informal “Meet and Greet” with all candidates who are present.

There are five candidates in the Democratic Primary for New Castle County Council President. As of late July 2024, four candidates have confirmed for the August 15 forum: George S. Frankel, Val Gould, Jason Hoover, and Monique Johns will be present. Candidate Robert A. Williams was invited but is unable to attend.

The winner of this Democratic Primary race will face off against Republican candidate Melissa S. Brayman at the general election in November.
