UPDATE 10/14/2024 - The LWVNCC Forum scheduled for 10/15 has been cancelled. The League of Women Voters requirements for candidate forums state both candidates must be present. Mr. Michael Smith notified us today [on 10/14] that he cannot be present at 7pm because he has another meeting at that same time. Therefore, we reluctantly must cancel the forum.

On the evening of October 15, 2024, LWVNCC is planning a forum for Monica Beard and Mike Smith, candidates for state Representative District 22. This district includes parts of the North Star, Pike Creek, and Hockessin areas, as shown on this RD22 district map. 

This forum is free and open to the public. Following the program, there will be an informal “Meet and Greet” with all candidates who are present.

Doors open 1/2 hour before the forum. Please plan to arrive early so that the forum may begin promptly at the scheduled time. Questions for the candidates may be submitted on site using index cards handed out at the door, up until the forum begins.
