The October Hot Topic will focus on Juvenile Crime and Crime Prevention with the guest speaker Carla Quann.
Ms. Quann is the director of the Family Resource Center. She is in charge of Juvenile Services,
Community Relations, Family Resource Center & Volunteers. The objective of the Volusia Family
Resource Center is to help as many young people avoid the juvenile justice system as possible while
ensuring the public's safety. It’s a full-scale assessment center with partners and services from mental
health to substance abuse treatment.
