LWV Candidate Forums for New Castle County

10/15/2024 - Representative District 22

The League of Women Voters of New Castle County (LWVNCC) will host a candidate forum on Tuesday October 15, 2024 at the Mid-County Senior Center for the two candidates for Delaware House District 22 (RD22). RD22 encompasses North Star, Limestone Hills, southern Hockessin, and part of Pike Creek.

UPDATE 10/14/2024 - The LWVNCC Forum scheduled for 10/15 was cancelled. The League of Women Voters requirements for candidate forums state both candidates must be present. Mr. Michael Smith notified us that he cannot be present because he has another meeting at that same time. Therefore, we reluctantly must cancel the forum.

  Location:  Mid-County Senior Center, 1 First Regiment Rd, Wilmington, DE 19808

The forum is free and open to the public. Pre-registration is not required. If attending in person, please plan to arrive early to esure that seating is available. Doors open at 6:30pm and the forum will begin promptly at 7.

10/18/2024 - Representative District 10

The League of Women Voters of New Castle County (LWVNCC) will host a candidate forum on Friday August 18, 2024  for the  for the two candidates for Delaware House District 10 (RD10). RD10 is at the very northernmost part of the state (areas north of Talley's Corner).

  Candidates:  Brent Burdge (R) and Melanie Ross Levin (D).
  Event Date:  Friday 10/18/2024, 7:00 to 8:00 p.m.

  Location:  Concord Presbyterian Church, 1800 Fairfax Blvd, Wilmington DE 19803

Voting in Delaware

Election Day is Tuesday Nov 5, 2024. Polling places in Delaware are open from 7am to 8pm on election day. Delawareans also have the option of early voting, up to 10 days in advance of the election (including weekend options), at specific locations in each county.

New Delaware voters must register by Saturday, October 12, 2024, to vote in the Nov 5, 2024 general election. Many Delaware residents register to vote when they get a driver's license or state ID at the DMV. You can check your voter registeration status at ivote.de.gov.
