Yesterday, "One Big Beautiful Bill" was passed in the Senate and is now in the House. This bill is far from beautiful, and we have 12-24 hours to block its passage.
The bill is ugly, dangerous, and bad for America. It will strip health care and food access from millions of Americans to offset massive tax cuts for corporations and wealthy Americans. If they pass it, Congress will endanger the health of our country.
The legislation is full of cuts to vital programs, such as Medicaid and the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP). This will hurt the most vulnerable populations of our country — veterans, single parents, seniors, people with disabilities, and children —the exact people we should be protecting.
As we head toward Independence Day, let the House know we oppose them stripping Americans of the vital services needed to survive, and thank our California Senators for their work to stop this bill. It is time to say no to the "One Big Beautiful bill".
