The League of Women Voters ramps up voter services activities across the nation in the fall, getting ready for the election season that culminates on Election Day in early November. In particular, next week marks two important civic holidays for the League, National Voter Registration Day on Tuesday 9/16/2025, and Constitution Day on Wednesday 9/17/2025.
Although 2025 is an "off year" for the first state... Delaware holds statewide elections only every second year, on even-numbered years... the League of Women Voters of Delaware (LWVDE) and our local Leagues are still active, with plenty of voter service activities happening this month.
The League of Women Voters of Sussex County, DE (Sussex LWV) provided a voter information table at the September 7 IMPACT Festival (Family Fun Event) in Bridgeville. The League of Women Voters of New Castle County (LWVNCC) will host voter registration/information tables on September 16 at the University of Delaware and at Goldey Beacom College, on September 17 at the DelTech Wilmington and Stanton campuses, on September 21 at Newark Community Day, on October 4 at Veterans Outreach Day in Wilmington, and on October 11 at Claymont Community Day.
If you see a League table in the community while you are out and about, stop by and say hi! We'd love to talk with you. Better yet, snap a photo and post on social media with hashtags #LoveMyLWV #Delaware.
