The League of Women Voters of Volusia County Voter Service Candidate Forum Team partnered with Lake Helen Villa to host a successful Candidate Forum on Monday, September 15th.
The forum welcomed a full room of engaged citizens who came to hear directly from the candidates:
- Vernon Burton (Incumbent) and Roger Eckert, candidates for Mayor
- Linda Donato (Incumbent) and Sean Abshire, candidates for Zone 3 Commissioner
Attendees had the opportunity to listen to candidates respond to both audience-submitted questions and pre-prepared questions from the League. The exchange gave the community valuable insights into the candidates’ views and plans for Lake Helen’s future.
